Happy Sunday! 🤗
Have you done psilocybin in social settings just for fun?
If so, thoughts/recommendations on dosage?
I ask, because I never have.
I’ve only done any dosing in guided ceremonies and a few microdose routines(100-200mg) on/off.
My wife and I are going to the Dead & Co concert tonight at Folsom Field and to be honest, I’m kind of curious about dosing for the social experience and any learning that will come with it.
From my first guided journey about a year ago and since then, I’ve always respected, been grateful and thankful for the medicines guidance and I always will be and have only used it in guided journeys.
However, I’ve had these interesting thoughts lately of allowing myself to shed some of my personal tendencies that keep me so structured and maybe jump in.
Almost like I want to break some chains that are wrapped around me and give myself permission to explore and experience. I did some recreational drugs when I was young(16-20yrs old), but never did psilocybin and never did anything for the pleasure/learning experience.
Now at 58yrs old, I feel like I’d like to explore it in a more mature, meaningful and fun social setting.
Since I’ve started these guided journeys and have had so much profound leaning and gratitude to this amazing medicine, I think I’ve always thought that if I ever did it recreationally, I would then be disrespecting the medicine.
Anyway, appreciate thoughts.
Much love…. ❤️🙏

Hello, Scott (I hope I’m getting your name right from your username 😅)
Sorry for taking this long to reply! From now on we’re going to be more Present and Active in the Forums.
Would you like to update us about this? Did you get to experience the mushrooms in a more social environment? How was it?
After having done a few ceremonies and being more familiarized with their effect, it is safer, indeed, to experiment this, and, from my experience, it can be very beneficial (as long as it’s done with much respect and care, as always). We highly recommend that this is done with at least one person that you can really trust and that will be really at hand in case you need some assistance, and ideally also with a quiet place to sit or lie down nearby, in case it’s needed.
Lastly, just as a reminder, for you and/or anyone else reading, please read and always refer to our Ceremonial Guide to make the best out of the ceremonial experience(s) you may have from now on.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,
